About Us

Lilypads believe no one should be limited by their period

Lilypads began in 2018 after we discovered that many young students were being forced to engage in transactional sex in exchange for period products. These students were being forced to risk their lives and health just to remain in school.

Since then we have been committed to finding a solution. We began making our own reusable period pads and ran product trials to learn more. Lilypads believe strongly in creating collaborative and sustainable initiatives which work for communities.

Lilypads now work with organisations around the world training women to set up microfinance businesses, selling products at an affordable price. This ensures products are available to all who need them within the community.

Currently we work with partners in Cambodia, Uganda and Kenya.

Our Company

reusable washable pad on underwear

Everyone deserves a product which work for them. When trialling our won reusable period pads, we were shocked to hear that many of us feel they have to put up with bulky, crinkly or itchy products.

Lilypads believe that period products have lacked the innovation they deserve. We spent 2 years listening and learning from people with period to find out exactly what they were looking for from a product. Working closely with textile manufactures we have designed a high quality product which is comfortable, discreet and absorbent. By swapping to our pads you can reduce the carbon emissions created by disposable pads by up to 90%.

For every pack we sell, a pack is sponsored to our international mission.
